Create Your Own Prediction Market
Polymarket and Kalshi don't allow user-created markets — every market is curated by their staff and there's no application path. BlockForecast is the creator-driven alternative. If you've ever wanted to make a market about your local football derby, an upcoming token launch, an awards show, a Nigerian Premier League fixture, or anything else nobody is covering — this is the platform.
Step-by-step
1. Apply for creator access
Open the creator-access form. It asks for your X handle, topic areas, two example markets, distribution plan, and a short paragraph on why you want to create here. Reviewed within ~24 hours. The bar is real but reasonable: clear questions, public-source resolvable, no insider info. Read the full criteria first if you're not sure you fit.
2. Connect a wallet
BlockForecast uses Privy for onboarding. Sign in with Google, Apple, email, or your existing Web3 wallet. If you don't have a wallet, Privy creates an embedded one on Base for you — no seed phrase, no extension to install.
3. Deposit USDC on Base
Send USDC on Base to your wallet. If your USDC is on Ethereum mainnet or another chain, use the official Base bridge or Coinbase's direct withdrawal to Base. Full guide here. You don't need much — even $5 is enough to bootstrap a market.
4. Click Create
Open /create. Type your question in plain English. Examples that work:
- Will Arsenal win the Premier League this season?
- Will Bitcoin close above $100k on December 31?
- Will Beyoncé release a new album in 2026?
- Will Nigeria reach the Africa Cup of Nations final?
5. Let the AI clean and gate it
An AI rewrites the question for clarity (max 60 chars), picks authoritative resolution sources, and proposes resolution criteria. Vague questions get rejected with a suggested rewrite. You confirm or edit.
6. Set the resolution date
Pick when the market ends. Anything from 5 minutes (an ultra-short event) to years (a long-running question) works. Sports markets typically close at kickoff. Crypto price markets snapshot at a specific moment.
7. Confirm and launch
Review the criteria. Confirm. The market is live and tradeable. Share the link.
What happens next
- Trades start happening. The LSMR market maker provides instant liquidity from the moment it opens. Your market doesn't need a counter-trader to fill.
- You earn 0.5% per trade. Fees flow into your creator dashboard in real time. Withdraw anytime.
- The market resolves automatically. When the resolution date hits, the AI oracle reads sources, votes, reaches consensus, settles. How resolution works.
- Winners are paid out. 1 USDC per winning share, instantly.
What kinds of markets work
- Sports. Any match in a covered league. The oracle reads sports APIs.
- Crypto prices. Pyth and CoinGecko-resolved.
- Politics. Election results, official appointments — anything with public sources.
- Tech events. Token launches, product releases, IPOs.
- Culture. Awards, releases, charts — anything the AI can verify against public sources.
- Long-tail. If a respectable source will report the answer, the market can resolve.
What doesn't work
- Personal events (your friend's wedding) — no public source.
- Subjective opinions ("best song of the year") — needs an authoritative ranking.
- Questions with no clear resolution moment.
- Markets the AI gating system flags as ambiguous, manipulable, or insider-info-driven.
How much can creators earn?
0.5% of every trade. Some examples:
- Market trades $10,000 → you earn $50
- Market trades $100,000 → you earn $500
- Market trades $1,000,000 → you earn $5,000

FAQ
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Everything is point-and-click. The AI does the writing.
Is there a fee to create a market?
Creating costs only the network gas (cents on Base). Some categories require a small creator stake that gets refunded once the market hits a volume threshold — keeps low-effort spam markets out.
Can I edit the market after it's live?
You can edit non-binding metadata (cover image, description). The question, resolution date, and criteria are immutable once trading starts — that's a fairness commitment to traders.
What if the AI oracle resolves wrong?
You or any user can file an appeal. Adversarial appeal agents review independently. Full oracle docs.
What if no one trades my market?
The LSMR provides instant liquidity, but if no users find it interesting, the volume is what it is. Promote your market via the leaderboard, share it socially, partner with content creators in the topic area.
