Resolution criteria
This market resolves YES if, on or before 31 July 2026, at least half of the schoolchildren abducted from schools in Askira-Uba, Borno State, Nigeria in the mass abduction on or around 15 May 2026 are confirmed to have returned to safety — through release, rescue, or escape — as reported by at least 2 of these outlets: Premium Times, Punch, Channels TV, Reuters, BBC, AP, Daily Trust. It resolves NO if, by 31 July 2026, no such confirmation of a majority return is reported. Clarifications: a confirmed return of a clear majority (more than half) of the abducted children counts as YES even if some remain held; figures in dispute resolve in favor of the named outlets' reporting; the market resolves YES as soon as the condition is met and need not wait for the deadline; if the children were already confirmed returned before this market opened, it resolves YES.
